知らないほうがいいこともある

He or she had stayed there since I moved in this house, and I had said to him or her "good morning" everyday. However, now he or she has gone somewhere and is not there. I could never see his or her face.

（彼(もしくは彼女)は、私がこの家に引っ越してきたときからここにいて、毎朝おはようと挨拶していたのですが、今はもういなくなってしまいました。彼(もしくは彼女)の顔を見ることもなく…。）

One day, I asked my landlord if he knew about the insect with showing him the picture. Then he said, "this is the insect that has scissors on its tail." So I looked it up on the internet and found his or her name and sex.

（ある日、大家さんにこの写真を見せてこの虫は何だったのかと訊きました。大家さんは「尻尾にハサミがある虫だよ」と言いました。そして私はインターネットで尻尾にハサミがある虫を調べ、彼(もしくは彼女)の名前と性別を知ることができました。）

Her name is "earwig." It's called "hasamimushi" in Japan. I didn't know her face and body was so....like.....so.......

（彼女の名前は、ハサミムシです。そしてあんな顔や体をしていたなんて…）

And I have to say one thing: do not search by the images with "hasamimushi" especially while you are eating something if you don't like insects. It was right not to search its image when it was still there. I actually hate insects...

（これだけは言っておきたいのですが、虫が好きじゃない人は"ハサミムシ"で検索しないほうがいいです。食事中は特に。まだヤツがいるときにネットで調べてなくてほんと良かった。やっぱり虫は苦手でした…。）
